...will be your Buddy, guy.

Twelve Bar Brews is a production brewery producing four finely crafted ales now available in 65 + locations throughout Greater Seattle. We brew Pentatonic Pale Ale, Wicked Riff IPA, Turnaround Red Ale and Supertonic India Black Ale. Our production facility utilizes a 15 barrel system capable of producing 450 gallons of beer per batch. Each batch is hand-crafted using select grains and Northwest hops. Kirk Hilse, Twelve Bar’s founder and head brewer, makes all his beers according to one founding principle: To make an easy-drinking beer that he would enjoy again and again. The result is a well-balanced beer that tastes smooth and slightly dry. All Kirk’s beers are dry-hopped for a fragrant finish.

Being a production brewery, the majority of the beer is kegged for distribution to better bars and restaurants. However, Twelve Bar Brews ales are also available at our downtown Woodinville tasting room, the Broken String. We welcome the public Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays for pints, growlers and tasters. We’re always happy to give a quick tour of the back brewery.

Many ask us about the funny Twelve Bar name. Twelve Bar Brews is a pun on the term twelve bar blues, the root structure of all rock and blues music. Being musicians and music lover as well as a brewers and beer lovers we’ve tied our two passions by borrowing on the twelve bar theme. Look for our distinctive guitar head tap handles and have a rockin’ good time with a Twelve Bar Brew.
